This map summarises the hardware of Android flagship phones announced from late September 2025 until the next Snapdragon generation arrived in September 2026. The centre is the year and each branch is a component. An arrow such as 4300 mAh β†— 8000 mAh means the range from the lowest figure on any flagship in scope to the highest. A bar such as 3.2 | 3.2 Gen 2 lists alternatives that exist among those phones. Figures describe what the phones ship with, not what a chip could support.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and its rivals

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the common thread. It is a 3 nm chip with two Prime cores at 4.6 GHz or up to 4.74 GHz, six Performance cores at up to 3.62 GHz and an Adreno 840 GPU. Samsung uses a Galaxy-specific version in the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Z Fold8 line. Most regions get the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 and S26+: a 2 nm GAA chip with ten cores, a prime core at up to 3.8 GHz and an Xclipse 960 GPU. Google's Tensor G6 in the Pixel 11 range stays on 3 nm. MediaTek's Dimensity 9500, on 3 nm, powers the Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro and the vivo X300 and X300 Pro. Phones built on the next Snapdragon, announced on 22 September 2026, belong to next year's map.

Bigger batteries, uneven charging

Battery capacity is the widest range on the map: from 4300 mAh in the Galaxy S26 to 8000 mAh in the Xiaomi 17 Max, which launched in China. Xiaomi and Oppo use silicon-carbon cells, while the Galaxy and Pixel phones list conventional lithium-ion cells between roughly 4300 and 5100 mAh.

Wired charging runs from 25 W on the Galaxy S26 to 120 W on the OnePlus 15, and wireless charging from 15 W to 80 W on the Honor Magic8 Pro. Google's Pixel 11 adds magnetic Qi2.2 charging at 25 W, and the Galaxy S26 is described as Qi2 Ready. Reverse wireless charging appears on Galaxy and Oppo phones.

Screens, cameras and what is left out

Non-folding flagship screens span 6.3 to 6.9 inches, with claimed peak brightness from 2600 to 7000 nits and refresh rates from 120 Hz up to 165 Hz on the OnePlus 15. Resolution runs from 1080 x 2340 to 1440 x 3168.

Main cameras range from 48 MP to 200 MP, and telephoto optical zoom from 2.9x to 10x on the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra carries a 1-inch type main sensor. Storage tops out at 1 TB on UFS 4.0 or 4.1, and RAM at 16 GB, apart from a 24 GB Honor edition. In this map the Sony Xperia 1 VIII is the one flagship that keeps both a microSD slot and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
